God has enabled and gifted us for a mission in life. He has a grand plan that, if we go for it, can change more lives that we can ever imagine. If you do what God's made you for, if you'll walk the path God cut through the woods for you, if you'll follow the dream you'll have to take a risk. And that's where so many of us stumble. Risks cause worry!
One worry is that you will be left alone in the future. That you will be abandoned, deserted, by yourself and having to face the future on your own. Another worry is that you won’t know what to do when you get to the future because it will be new and different. A third worry is that you won’t have what you need in the future. You may lack the resources or the talent or whatever. Another is the fear that you will be hurt somehow by someone or something in the future and you won’t be able to handle that pain. And then there’s simply the worry that you may not make it to the future, that it will be too tough, too rough.
The good news is that worry is an optional misery. You don’t have to worry. Why? Well, we know, in the first place that God knows everything in advance, that God knows the future. God’s been in the future, in the past, in the present. He’s not constrained by time. Nothing is ever going to surprise God, disappoint God, catch Him off guard. He already knows everything that’s going to happen in my life.
The Bible says that because of that God has made some incredible promises regarding your future. Some of those promises are: No matter what the future holds, God will be with me. God will watch over me when I’m confused. He will go before me when I’m afraid. God says “I will fight for you.” God will work in me until I’m completed. And that’s just the beginning...there are about 7000 other promises in the Bible!
There is no way the promises of God are not going to be fulfilled. They are guaranteed. You can take it to the bank! It’s going to happen. God is faithful and He has promised over and over and over again to take care of as well as care for you. Trust Him on this one!
